My journey with HarveStaff has been pivotal, fostering significant personal and professional growth. The supportive environment and dedication to employee development at HarveStaff have played a crucial role in my advancement. The company has offered invaluable lessons and abundant opportunities for learning and progression. I am genuinely thankful and proud to be part of an organization that values continuous improvement, promotes a culture of collaboration, and strives for excellence. 

As the Lead Contractor Liaison in the HR department, I am dedicated to building positive relationships with our contractors throughout their assignments. Effective communication, prompt issue resolution, and cultivating strong partnerships are my priorities, ensuring seamless integration of external resources into our team. By fostering a collaborative environment, I uphold high standards of professionalism and efficiency in contractor relations, contributing actively to our organizational goals. 

My educational background originally centered around the hospitality industry, driven by a passion for culinary arts and baking. However, my career path took a meaningful turn when I discovered my passion for education. For over three enriching years, I dedicated myself to teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to diverse young learners, which broadened my cultural horizons and polished my communication skills. 

Transitioning into Human Resources, I applied my educational background to roles focused on training and development. Over the past 8 years in HR, including roles such as HR Coordinator, HR Representative, Senior Sourcer, and Operations Support, I've deepened my understanding of HR practices, employee relations, and contractor management, building a versatile skill set and advancing professionally. 

My strengths encompass decision-making, motivation, flexibility, responsibility, adaptability, commitment to excellence, career focus, results-driven mindset, collaborative learning, cultural sensitivity, effective communication, and relationship building. These abilities enable me to effectively lead diverse teams, optimize workflows, and develop training programs that enhance skills and foster cultural understanding. 

Looking forward, I am eager to further develop my leadership within HR, focusing on enhancing employee experience and driving organizational growth. Learning a new language and achieving better work-life balance are personal goals, aimed at improving cross-cultural communication within our global team and implementing strategies for productivity and personal well-being. 

Empowering the Future:
Collaboration with Biotech Partners and Bayer 

For the past two years, we have been collaborating with Biotech Partners and Bayer to hire students into the Biotech Academy on-site at Bayer. It was finally time for a visit to see the impact firsthand. 

Bayer and Biotech Partners work tirelessly to transform the lives of underrepresented students, providing them with opportunities to delve into the field of biotechnology. Their programs inspire students to pursue higher education and careers in science. During our meeting with the mentors, their passion for dreaming big and achieving the impossible was evident. Many of these mentors, having been part of the program themselves over a decade ago, have grown their careers with full-time employment at Bayer. Now, they are passing on their invaluable knowledge and experience to the next generation. 

We are privileged to be part of this program, assisting the next generation of workers in becoming better, smarter, and more passionate employees. The tour of the labs was particularly enlightening, allowing us to witness firsthand the impressive work being done and the educational opportunities provided.

Community Involvement

At HarveStaff, we believe in giving back to the communities we serve and supporting causes that make a positive impact. One of our proudest initiatives is our sponsorship of the Iowa Force Volleyball team, a non-profit club program dedicated to promoting and empowering female athletes in the Des Moines area.

Through our sponsorship of Force Volleyball, we actively contribute to the development and growth of young female athletes in our community. Force Volleyball's mission aligns perfectly with our values, focusing not only on building a championship program but also on instilling essential life skills in its athletes. 

Force Volleyball provides quality programs emphasizing sportsmanship and player development, preparing athletes to become positive and productive adults within their communities. Over the years, the program has provided opportunities for over 150 athletes to play at a higher level and enhance their skills. 

Most Force Volleyball athletes come from the metro area, including communities such as Bondurant, Pleasantville, Martensdale, and Newton. Our sponsorship covers club costs, including equipment, training, and tournament entry fees, ensuring that these athletes have the necessary resources to succeed. 

Our sponsorship of Force Volleyball reflects our commitment to community engagement and supporting initiatives that empower individuals and foster growth. As a company, we are actively involved in seeking out opportunities to support other teams and organizations that align with our values and contribute to the betterment of our community.
